Arrests
Thursday
Randy Tingle, 39, 5600 block of Buttermilk Road, Cottondale, was charged with first-degree burglary. Bail was set at $60,000.
Jonathan Marlowe, 33, Possum Hollow Drive, Gordo, was charged with third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $10,000.
Wednesday
Jimmy Lee Gardner, 54, 3300 block of Seventh Avenue East, was charged with assault. Bail was set at $5,000.
Tuscaloosa Police
Thefts
Two air conditioning units and copper tubing were taken from a church in the 2300 block of 17th Street between 2 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
A utility trailer was taken from a construction site in the 5400 block of McFarland Boulevard East between 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
Electronics, groceries and clothes were taken from a store in the 1900 block of 13th Avenue East between 2:15 and 2:38 p.m. Wednesday.
A cell phone was taken from a store in the 1500 block of Skyland Boulevard at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Robbery
A person put a gun to the back of a man's head and took more than $500 cash from him at a hotel in the 3600 block of McFarland Boulevard at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Vehicle break-in
A CD player was taken from a Jeep Cherokee in the 600 block of Seventh Avenue Northeast between 11:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Burglaries
Copper wiring was taken from a residence in the 600 block of 18th Street between 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
A PlayStation was taken from an unlocked residence in the 400 block of 51st Street between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Tuscaloosa county sheriff's office
Burglary was reported at a residence on North Hagler Road in Northport between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. May 2. A camcorder valued at $200 was taken.
Burglary was reported at a residence on Appling Drive in Northport between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. May 2. Two PlayStation 2s, video games, a 40-inch LCD TV and a socket set together valued at $1,380 were taken.
Burglary was reported at a residence on Newt Hamner Road in Northport at 10 a.m. May 2.
Unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle was reported at a location on Loblolly Court in Northport between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday. Two cell phones, 200 CDs, cash and a blank check together valued at $4,610 were taken.
Theft was reported at a location on University Boulevard East in Cottondale between 8 and 11 a.m. Monday. A wallet, cash, two blank checks and a credit card together valued at $35 were taken.
Burglary was reported at a residence on H.B. Johnston Road in Moundville between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday. A jar of cash, a Nintendo Wii, medication, a curling iron and a video game together valued at $825 were taken.
